Everybody, good morning. I am very happy to be here in the final competition. Now let me introduce myself. My Chinese name is Cao Mi Cong. And my English name is Micong. I study in Jinniu campus , the primary school attached to Normal University. I like sports very much. I like playing Netball, basketball, tennis, badminton, also I think I am good at roller skating, snow skating, ice skating, recently I am passion for figure skating. I like reading too, Harry Potter is one of my favorite books. I even dreamed that I was a witch with magic. I do wish that I hadn't that much homework, so I could read Harry Potter again and again.

    Here, I'm going to tell you something about red pear. And share some of my thoughts and feelings about Red Pear with you.

    Have you ever eaten Red Pear? If you haven't, you must taste it. Let me tell you why.

    Few weeks ago, I went with my mum to the testing orchard in the Kunming suburb. There is a new pear variety. I hadn't taste it yet, its bright red skin color makes me want to eat it already. I took one from the pear tree. I had my first bite. Wow!!! It's crunchy! It's so sweet and juicy. I never had eaten a pear so delicious. I had four of the pears, one after one. My stomach was so full; otherwise, I'd like to eat more.

    "So mum could you please tell me, why dose this pear taste so good?" "Well." mum answered. "This test orchard is built for a research project which is co-operated between New Zealand and China. The secret is Red Pear's mother comes from Kunming and its father comes from New Zealand, and do you want to know more?" "Of course I do!" I answered excitedly. Mum continued: " And Red Pear's father's parents and ancestors comes from other different countries. So Red Pear has inherited good parts from its parents and ancestors, that's why it's so delicious"

    "Oh, How interesting." I said.

    " Mum does that mean, in the future it's possible to have white pear, brown pear, or even blue pear?"

    Mum gave me a bright smile and said: " Why not? Honey"

    The rest time in test orchard, I couldn't help to think what my Mum told me. I was thinking how exciting that we could create many better things by co-operating between the countries.

    Suddenly I realized, How important to speak good English. With the help of communication, Our world is getting smaller and smaller. And that only through the communication and co-operation, we can create the better world, just like red pear. So in the future, we might even have white pear, brown pear or even blue pear, don't you think so?
